Low-Waste Living at Omah Ralin
Rest Easy, Tread Lightly is the idea the house is built around. Every fitting at Omah Ralin is either recycled or made from natural material, and the rest is a daily routine that guests are welcome to join.
Recyclables are sorted into separate baskets. Organic scraps go into biopori, narrow holes dug into the garden where food waste breaks down into soil where it falls, with nothing to collect afterwards.
Alongside this we run a short guest program called Cegah, Pilah, Olah, which translates as Prevent, Sort, Process. It covers household waste management in a practical way. The point is not that you follow it here, but that you could carry it home.
