A Homestay Built Around Comfort and Low-Waste Living
Omah Ralin is an affordable place to stay in Yogyakarta for families and groups of friends who would rather have a house than a hotel room. We keep the standard of service steady so that guests feel comfortable and secure for the length of their stay.
What sets the house apart is the low-waste concept behind it. The hope is that guests leave paying a little more attention to where household waste goes, beginning with something as simple as sorting it.

Why Omah Ralin

Accommodation
Two air-conditioned bedrooms, a large joglo sitting area, Wi-Fi, an OLED television, a full kitchen and generous parking.

Low-Waste Living
Fittings throughout the house are recycled or made from natural material, and guests are encouraged to take part in the waste program.

Local Snacks
Traditional Yogyakarta snacks served in besek, the handwoven bamboo boxes, so you can taste the region without leaving the house.
The Story Behind Omah Ralin
The building has stood since 2018, when it was let as a family home. Its owner, who had already put low-waste practices to work in several other businesses, converted it into a homestay in 2024 to introduce that way of living to more people.
The idea was to pair the low-waste concept with something recognisably Yogyakarta, which is what separates Omah Ralin from the many other places to stay in the city. The aim is for guests to leave with an experience they have not had before, and with habits that do their surroundings some good.
